Hatha with Props

  • Hatha is the basis of all yoga practices
  • Often referred to as classical or traditional yoga
  • Focused practice using alignment
  • Breathing techniques that use the traditional methods to calm the mind and nervous system
  • Using props for all poses to help support the shape and the body build strength and resilience
  • Simple class that is inviting to all

Yin Yoga

  • YIN postures are adapted from supine, prone or seated postures.
  • All poses are done on the floor with or without props
  • YIN yoga cultivates opening the body through passive stretching
  • There is no active movement, or straining
  • Allows healing and restoring the natural processes
  • The stillness of the body cultivates a meditative practice

  • A fall prevention program for those who have balance issues
  • Strengthening exercises to keep legs and back strong
  • Targeted balance exercises

  • Designed for older adults who live independently in the community
  • Participants may have had a fall or are worried about their balance
  • Participants must commit to the entire session for 2 one hour classes twice a week

  • Designed for older adults who live independently in the community
  • Participants may have had a fall or are worried about their balance
  • Participants must commit to attend 12 weeks of class, 1 hour twice per week
